Resources

Australia has seen a substantial increase in the provision of alcohol and other drug (AOD) education and training education by tertiary providers in the last decade (Roche 2001).  Diverse AOD tertiary education and training opportunities exist at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels across all states and territories within Australia.

Directory of AOD courses available in South Australia

The Directory of AOD courses available in South Australia (current to 2005) (PDF 54KB) emanated from findings from the South Australian Workforce Development Audit and Capacity Building project.

NCETA was commissioned by the South Australian Department of Health to undertake an audit of current alcohol and other drugs (AOD) training and other workforce development (WFD) activities available and relevant to workers in South Australia. This directory presents a comprehensive summary and critique of identified AOD training options that can be accessed in South Australia.

Alcohol and Other Drugs: Database of Tertiary Courses offered in Australia

NCETA has compiled a CD-ROM which provides information on AOD tertiary training opportunities available in Australia. The CD ROM is titled 'Alcohol and Other Drugs Database of Tertiary Courses offered in Australia'.

This CD ROM outlines the key findings of the project, presents an examination of the current tertiary sector and explores how a changing tertiary sector is impacting on AOD education and training.

To order a copy of the CD-ROM please contact us and we will send one out to you. Or alternatively, click below and view by topic.
